WOODBRIDGE 12, COLONIAL FORGE 11 (eight innings): Cameron King scored the game-winning run off a walk as the top-seeded Vikings won the Conference 4 Tournament title Friday. It was Woodbridge first district/conference tournament title since 2010.

The game began with a bang as Colonial Forge scored nine runs in the top of the first followed by Woodbridge scoring eight in the bottom of the first.

The Vikings (15-5) tied the game in the bottom of the seventh and sent it into extra innings when they scored off a wild pitch.

Magnus Ellerts was the winning pitcher. Ellerts threw the game’s final two innings and struck out two without allowing a run, hit or walk.

Jack Freeman led Woodbridge’s offense. He went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and a team-high three RBIs.

Bryce Ross was 3 for 4 with three runs scored and one RBI, Alex Vasquez was 3 for 5 with two RBIs, Miguel Cameron was 1 for 5 with one RBI, Grant Mikkelsen 1 for 3 with two runs scored and one RBI and Andrew Piacesi 1 for 4 with one run scored and one RBI. Scott Morgan walked four times for Woodbridge.

The Vikings and Eagles play again Monday in the first round of the 6A South Region Tournament. Woodbridge hosts Thomas Dale at 5 p.m.
